Peyote is literally the oldest of all plant medicines. One of the amazing things about taking peyote is the fact that you are participating in a truly ancient human experience.

The Oldest Of All Plant Medicines

Two specimens were found in an archaeological site in Shumla Cave that dated back as long as 5700 years ago.

“The two peyote samples appear to be the oldest plant drug ever to yield a major bioactive compound upon chemical analysis” https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15990261/

Another study found “this study demonstrates the use of peyote by inhabitants of the Lower Pecos region of the Chihuahuan Desert about 6000 calendar years ago” https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0305440305002451

I want to again remind everyone that I am not a doctor, and this is not intended to be medical advice. For those of you who are going to be using peyote and cannabis anyway, I hope that you are inspired to take a more scientific approach. Always talk to your health care professional before attempting any mesearch experiments.
